This is a further training course for those who have completed Basic Youth & Community Skills Training and are ready to participate in the Hub activities – phone counselling, emailing, texting, internet communication. You will be coached and mentored to begin active volunteering; and the group will provide you with an opportunity to reflect on your practice and develop your skills.

The Transition groups are great opportunities to learn from each others’ experiences, get support and encouragement, to revise skills and topics, and to cover new areas of learning such as Child Protection issues and challenging themes like ‘Love and Power’!

You will learn how to use a Supervision context and how you can continue to learn more about yourself through processing your experiences and discoveries from your work.

Compulsory for all who are already, or moving towards, working actively on the Youth Help Line and in the Hub.
Transition training runs for 12 x 2.5 hour sessions weekly, 7:00pm- 9:30pm, then fortnightly, and one full Saturday.
