I have been speaking to some young people who have left school and it seems the transition from High School can be stressfull.

A lot of things that came into mind is what were they going to do, Should they work, should they study and what would they study.

It seems a lot harder for young people who have not done particularly well at school to feel confident to do more study and some tend to be in the inbetween of wanting to do more, but not knowing how or what they should do.

There are a lot of places and people young people can talk to, Guidance Counsellors, Youth Transition services, youthworkers, teachers and friends.

The main thing i feel is to set goals and work towards it.

These times can be be very stressfull as young people reach a new and wider world,

I remember when I left school it was so scary. I had 3 horrible part time jobs that didn't even pay the bills. I ended up sleeping at bus stops. But once I started talking to people - especially my friends - about what a hard time I was having, it got much easier. One of them hooked me up with a job, one let me crash on their couch for a few days - just that little boost made all the difference. I encourage anyone who is finding it hard to share their problems!

Yeahp! ! School leavers.. hard hard work..!
!If schools not for them then where can they go? ?

A question only partially answered.. School is already difficult for young people then putting them straight into the workforce.. i really dont think this is quit the right idea.. Its good to see there are other choices out there thou, besides UNI; AUT; or same old same old WORK..bein a young person myself work is still in progress, learning time management, people skills, confidence and indepence! !

Kinda stressfull i say! ! But i guess thats all apart of growing up! !
