Mark Giles - Chairperson

Mark has been involved in the Communications and IT industry for over 20 years. Up to the end of 2007 Mark was the Executive Director of Sales for Vodafone New Zealand and a member of the local Board. Mark was with Vodafone for four years and prior to Vodafone, Mark was CEO of Alcatel New Zealand for four years. Mark has spent time on and off shore in these and other capacities.
Mark started out life as a farmer, got enticed into Corporate life and now has decided to move out of the Corporate path and look at his own ventures. Mark’s passion is for his family. He has two daughters and a fantastic better half. In his spare time you will often find Mark gravitating towards the water, particularly if it involves a boat or fishing!

 

 

Annette Chillingworth - Secretary

Annette has worked in the soft drink industry both in human resources and the marketing environment for 20 years and is currently the Marketing Services Manager for Coca-Cola Oceania, a major sponsor of Youthline.  Annette’s current role covers all aspects of consumer marketing; sponsorship management, business partnership management and business integration.  Annette has two adult sons and lives with her partner in their recently completed home in the countryside South of Auckland.'

 

 

Kim Willis

Kim began her career as a primary school teacher which included teaching in remote schools in Fiji. Her OE to London led her into the Events industry. Exciting clients included Princess Diana, the Queen Mother and Dame Kiri Te Kanawa.

On her return, Kim started her own event/sponsorship company providing events for corporate clients such as Saatchi & Saatchi, Air New Zealand, BNZ Bank and TVNZ .
In recent years Kim moved into the Industrial Relations/HR field for an international construction company with projects based in Australia and New Caledonia.
Kim with her husband now direct an International Risk Management consultancy with projects in the Middle East, South East Asia and Africa.
Kim’s love for travel has given her the opportunity to work with people from all walks of life reminding her how lucky we are to live in such a wonderful country.

 

Rick Fala

Rick has been Chief Executive since 1998 and Managing Director since 2001 when he led key management team members in the MBO of the Methven business and then successfully listing on the New Zealand Stock Exchange in 2004. He plays a key role in delivering sustainable earnings and devising the international export strategy to drive new growth for the Group, based on leading edge Designs for the Shower and Bathroom environment.  Prior to joining Methven as Chief Financial Officer in 1996, he held a range of financial management roles with McKechnie PLC's New Zealand group companies and Ernst & Young.

 

 

Brock Colville

Brock graduated from the University of Canterbury with a LLB(Hons) and BA in Japanese and is currently a finance solicitor at an Auckland law firm. Brock's current role includes advising on securities law, investment products, funds management, insurance products and financial market regulations. Brock has previously worked as a tax solicitor, which included working with non-profit organisations. In his spare time Brock enjoys playing guitar in Auckland band Dakota Scream, playing tennis, running marathons and learning foreign languages.

 

Liz Coutts

A former Chief Executive of Caxton Group, Elizabeth is a Director of EBOS Group Limited, Skellerup Holdings Limited, Ravensdown Fertiliser Cooperative Limited, Chair of Urwin & Co Limited and Trustee of Youthline  Auckland Charitable Trust. She has previously been Chair of Meritec Group Limited, Industrial Research Limited and Life Pharmacy Limited; Deputy Chair of Public Trust; and a Commissioner of both the Commerce Commission and Earthquake Commission. She has been a Director of the Health Funding Authority, PHARMAC, Air New Zealand, Sport and Recreation New Zealand and Trust Bank New Zealand, and a member of both the Financial Reporting Standards Board of the Institute of Chartered Accountants and the Monetary Policy Committee of the Reserve Bank of New Zealand.

 

 

Roger Beaumont

Roger commenced his career in broadcast journalism.  During the ensuing 20 plus years he has had substantial marketing and corporate communications experience and is currently the Executive General Manager Marketing & Online at ASB Bank.  Prior to that he spent 10 years at MediaWorks, the last eight as Director of Marketing & Communications.  MediaWorks is the parent company of TV3 and FOUR and owns and operates approximately half the commercial radio stations in New Zealand.  
He is married with three daughters who keep him somewhat levelheaded.  When that doesn't work he goes for runs, and the occasional half marathon.  He also enjoys travel, movies and live music gigs.
